Pine State Metal Roofing is operated by Compass Camper LLC, an Oregon-registered marketing company doing business as Compass Lead Group. We are not a roofing contractor and do not perform roofing work.
We operate this website to connect Maine homeowners with independent local metal roofing professionals. When you submit a quote request, your information is forwarded to an independent professional who works in your part of the state and can schedule your free assessment. You deal with that professional directly: their estimate, their contract, their work.
The service is free for homeowners. We are paid a referral fee by the professional we send your request to, and that fee never increases the price you pay for your project. The full explanation is on the how we make money page.
Why this site reads the way it does
Maine does not license general or roofing contractors, so a homeowner here cannot fall back on a state license lookup. That makes accurate information the only real protection. This site publishes the numbers that decide a Maine metal roof, snow loads from the state's town listing, coastal warranty limits from the manufacturer documents, the contract rules from Maine statute, and costs from published sources, and leaves out anything we could not verify.
What we ask of the professionals we send you to
We ask every professional who receives referrals from this site to meet objective, verifiable standards:
- Carry current general liability insurance
- Carry workers compensation coverage for anyone on the roof
- Offer written workmanship warranties on completed work
- Provide transparent, itemized written estimates before performing any work
- Contract in writing per the Maine Home Construction Contracts Act, with the down payment capped at one third
